Gladfelter Dining Hall

Gladfelter is the main dining hall on campus and students are able to visit as many times as they would like each day.  Gladfelter offers a wide variety of options throughout the day and the menu is designed to satisfy everyone's appetite:


• Fresh fruit and salad bar featuring WWC Garden Produce, new and exciting cold salads made daily, homemade salad dressings using Regionally Grown GMO-free Canola Oil.
• Delicious, hot, home-style entrées and grill items such as WWC Beef Hamburgers or scratch-made veggie burgers, and fresh potato chips.
• Deli Bar with locally baked all-natural breads where sandwiches are made to order, just like your favorite sub shop!
• Ice cream all day and desserts that are baked fresh daily
• Only Homemade soups, at least one vegetarian/GF soup being offered at all times
• Pizza and Pasta Bar
• Aspretto Fair Trade Coffee and Rainforest Alliance Certified Teas
• Hydration Station with fruit-infused water

How to Identify Local and Sustainable Foods Being Served in the Dining Hall

Each dish in the dining hall will be labeled with a black sign. The sign will read “Local” or “WWC Garden or WWC Farm” if there are local items in the dish. They will also have an “L” at the top of the sign to denote local ingredients. Each Dining Hall has a Menu Chalkboard with a list of what is being served that day. The chalkboard will describe local items with either an “L” or will have the local ingredient listed.


There are always signs that are posted by the Local Foods Crew outside each Dining Services Location that will list the local ingredients that were ordered that week (see example below), along with a separate sign that lists WWC Garden Produce/Farm Meats that were purchased that week. It is good to look over this sign to become familiar with what local ingredients are being offered so you can easily identify them in your meal. WWC Farm Meats are bought in large quantities so are generally not bought as often as perishable produce.
